Dan was born January 20, 1954, in Port Chester New York. In June l972, he enlisted in the USAF. He completed Administrative Specialist School at Keesler AFB, Mississippi in October the same year. He also completed the Postal Operations Course at Keesler during March l974 and the Postal Supervisor Course at Ft Benjamin Harris, Indiana, in March 1990. He earned an Associate Degree in Administrative Management through the Community College of the Air Force and a Associate Degree in Business Management through Central Texas College. He also earned a Bachelor Degree in Sociology through the University of Columbia in 1998. Dan is currently the Facility Coordinator for the Dept of Human Resources, Organization and Training Development, State of Georgia. His office is in Macon Georgia at the Middle Georgia Training Center.

He completed NCO Leadership School (PACAF) and the NCO Academy (PACAF) winning the Speech Award and graduating as Distinguished Graduate and Commandant Award winner in both courses. Dan was also a Distinguished Graduate from the Senior NCO Academy.

Dan's assignments included: Keesler AFB, MS (1972); Lowry AFB, CO
(1972-1974); Shung-Shan Airport, Taipei, Taiwan (l974-1976); Hancock Field, NY (1976-1978); Yokota AB, Japan (1978-1981); Seymour Johnson AFB, NC (1981-1983); Kadena AB, Okinawa (1983-1987); Ellsworth AFB, SD (1987 to 1990); Clark AB, Philippines (1990-1991) and Robins AFB, Ga (1991-1995), HQ USAF, Pentagon, Va (1995-1999)

While assigned overseas his duties were all postal related, ranging from Postal Clerk to Postmaster. Dan's stateside assignments were all in Information Management with a mix of Staff Support positions and functional IM. In his last assignment in the Air Force, Dan served as Air Force Career Field Manager for Information Management and Postal Matters, Directorate ofI Information Management, Office of the Secretary of the Air Force, Washington, D.C. and under HQ USAF/SC.

His awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal with four oak leaf clusters, the AF Commendation Medal with three oak leaf clusters, the AF Achievement Medal with two oak leaf clusters and the Humanitarian Service Medal. In 1985 Dan was recognized as the Air Force Outstanding Senior Administrator, Staff Support. He was promoted to Chief Master Sergeant 1 November 1990.

He is married to the former Yen-er Ho of Taipei, Taiwan. They have no kids but do have a Cocker Spaniel named Poker. Poker is 15 years old.
